Thank you for a good read. I'm very impressed. I've got my novel in process, but I don't see how I could publish it on substack, as each Chapter is 17 - 20 typed pages of material, and so far, I'm on chapter 12.
I guess I could do it in 5000 word sections, but that would interrupt the flow. So, I'll have to figure it out.
That's a very interesting AAR sir. I hadn't thought of putting out long-form items completely on the web, as publisher's traditionally prefer 'first right of publish'. As for reading, alas, I am quite behind!
Putting an entire novel on the web is not exactly by the book (heh). But for me, it really helped because now it's out there for people to read instead of sitting pretty inside of my hard drive.
I'm still trying to figure out when it's a good time to release chapters or episodes. I can't call them chapters, because in my mind a chapter is somewhere around 17 pages of text. I've been going with one day a week, usually Fridays. I'm wondering if I should move it to Thursday instead?
"I'm wondering if I should move it to Thursday instead?"
I'm still not sure what's the best day for publishing in Substack. That being said, I think the particular days for a posting schedule doesn't matter as long it's consistent.
I used to read fanfiction back in the day. So I'm used to reading serials, even ones that were never finished. I've also spent a lot of time reading articles, even long ones. So I'm also used to reading on the screen (like ebooks). Hearing people talk about how they struggle with reading fiction in Substack made me realize that it's somewhat of an acquired taste.

But, this is about you.
Bravo, good sir, you did a fabulous job.
I'm glad you enjoyed my novel. I'm still mind-blown that you read the whole thing in 2-3 days. I'm honestly flattered.
Good luck with your own novel!

That's good to know.
I'm proud of how far you've come.
Thanks, TD. I appreciate that.
Hi David. Thanks for your comment.
