I've watched you grow as a writer, Michael, and am honored to have you as a friend. Taking a break is cool. It'll be even better if you come up with something as good as Love your Enemy, which I am waiting to see come out in paperback. You know that I'll buy it.
Thanks for the shout out, brother. It's much appreciated, and I'm likewise pleased to be in your company. Unfortunately I'm not terribly happy about the state of Substack, either. There is certainly change in the air. And an increasing number of hostile idiots and botposters in the Notes as they increasingly Twitter-fy the site. Shame, but I'll remain until the ship goes down. Until then, if you find any good alternatives... do let the rest of us know.
Yeah, the Twitter-ification is disheartening. It's one reason why I'm kind of not all that active on Notes right now. It's just so tiresome. But hey, I can still write my newsletters. So until Hamish and his (not so) Super Friends takes away long-form writing, there's no reason for me not to keep writing.
As someone who has written a dystopian fiction novel, I am interested in learning about different platforms to self publish. I currently have my book available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Lulu, an Ingram Spark but I would like more options internationally. Could you recommend any?
From what I can tell, Thalia is a German platform while Vivlio is French. Even Amazon has great international reach as it is since they do have stores in other countries, even non-Anglophones (for example, someone in Brazil bought my space opera novel). Beyond that, I don't know too much.

Keep up the good work, brother.
Thanks for the reminder to revamp my old Wordpress sites to have them running parallel with Substack. It sounds like you are making good choices.

Personally, I used Draft2Digital to get my books to all those platforms which you can see here: https://germanicus.substack.com/i/149041213/get-your-copy-of-the-santara-commentaries-book-here
