Greetings,

In the past few weeks I have been playing around with Canva Pro. While I have been using Canva for projects for a while, I have only recently decided to give Canva Pro a try. I’ll be honest, I love it!

One result from my newfound use of Canva Pro is a lot of promotional images/thumbnails for my sci-fi serial, Prisoner and Ransom (also as an aside, the initial images were generated at NightCafe). At first, I made only one, mostly centered around the second story, The Ransom. But why stop there? I then made one for the first story, Prisoner of the Megacorp. Before I knew it, I made thumbnails for all five stories.

Then I turned these stories into audio narrations and posted them on YouTube one video every day (click this link to check the series on YouTube itself). But on this post, I will post the videos themselves and embed the YouTube version. The first in case my YouTube somehow got taken down (not that I seek out trouble but you never know with places like YouTube, those guys do whatever they want when it comes to censorship and copyright stuff).

Also yes, I used AI voice narration (specifically Altered Studio) to see what I would get. There’s still a lot more work to be done, as you might be able to tell from listening to the narrations. But this mini project is a proof of concept more than anything. As someone who had commissioned real life voice actors as well as trying doing my own narrations, I prefer human work. But for now, I’m just looking for an excuse to show off these pictures.

Also yes, I changed around the names of the stories and even the serial itself. Because it’s my story and I can do with it what I want.
