Introduction
When a mysterious asteroid begins disrupting the Electrosphere and threatening Earth Space, the United Earth Coalition dispatches Captain Abel Ramsey and Lieutenant Ricardo ‘Rick’ Smits on what should be a quick reconnaissance mission. Abel is a gifted Space Force officer who chose exploration over glory, and Rick is his quick-witted irreverent partner who’d rather crack jokes than face danger head-on. But their two-man crew unexpectedly becomes three when they discover Lieutenant Nia Ennis—the Generalissimo’s daughter—hiding in their cargo bay, determined to prove she’s more than just a general’s kid. Before any of them can argue about it, Asteroid X tears their ship apart and sends them crashing into the unknown.
Separated from Rick and stranded on an alien world, Abel and Nia must navigate a bioluminescent wilderness of prehistoric predators and warring factions, their bond deepening with every step—complicated only by the intrigues of the calculating Princess Thalya, who has her own designs for the Earthman who saved her life. What High Command thought a rogue space rock is in truth something far greater: Kruptos, a hidden planet of exotic wildlife and ancient civilizations being crushed beneath the armored thumb of the mighty Emperor Cain the Conqueror.
